Northeastern Illinois University Peace Gathering

On Wednesday, September 9 through Friday, September 11, 2009 Northeastern Illinois University will host one of many simultaneous global Peace Gatherings. The event will include gathering around a sacred fire and in small and large discussion groups to explore how we can manifest peace in ourselves, our families, our communities, and our world. The schedule below lists times of some of the events. Each of the "Opening Space for Peace" sessions will offer drumming, small group discussion, peace breathing, and other activities. The larger, global program will invite people around the world to light sacred fires, host open conversations, and post news of what happens in various ways online. We hope you will join us at NEIU and other locations the world around.
